Everything is going as scheduled! See you all on Sunday morning!!
- Meeting Time (Sunday Oct 5th)
- Walkers - 6:45 am (walkers leave at 7:00 am)
- Full - 7:00 am (racers leave at 8:05 am)
- Half - 7:00 am (racers leave at 8:00 am)

- We will congregate around Spaghetti works area
I plan to be there by 6:30 am
(we may move to the lobby area of the Kirkwood Hotel after everyone is ready)

- Pass out 5x7 Marathon booklets which contain color maps, water station locations, mile by mile splits, etc.
- Attach Course Support Signs to bikes
- Discuss media, spectators, runner right away, etc.
- Pass out 1st aid packets
- Discuss last minute changes

Course Support Duties
- Drive the course with the Police Department Liaison
- Know the course well-you will be guiding runners
- Cyclist will be guiding lead runners (M), (F), (WC), (VI), and also used to radio finish line management to relay race information
- Know where medical tents will be
- Know where the water station are located
- Know basic first-aid
- If you see a runner in distress, stop and ask them how they are doing. Ask their name and phone number. Check for alertness!
- Drop-out procedure: This is very important. If a runner decided to drop out of the run, they MUST tell you.
Please radio the Finish Line Captain (Steve Lind) so they can mark the runner as DNF
(Did Not Finish) so they won’t be looking for that runner on the course
- Establish a group of volunteers that will be committed to the task(10+ per
race)
- Volunteers must sign liability waiver prior to the event
- Volunteers must be supplied map of the course and written course
- Volunteer check in procedures: packet pick-up at Expo
- Equipment needed:
- bike
- Safety vest- (supplied by marathon)
- Cell Phone (some ham radios may be supplied by marathon)
- Make sure all are wearing race shirt provided and display sign on bike
