Bike ride tonight honors Breedlove

A bike-ride fundraiser in honor of Dr. Bob Breedlove, a well-known central Iowa orthopedic surgeon who died last year during the Race Across America, is set for today at 6 p.m. The ride will begin at the Izaak Walton League south of Park Avenue with a brief service and comments by those who knew him best. Participants, along with the Des Moines Cycle Club, will then head to Cumming on the Great Western Bike Trail, which was one of Breedlove's favorite trails.
