Dr. Oscar Beasley, M.D. a retired general internist and avid cyclist and author of his new book, Bicycling: A Lifelong Means of Staying Fit. will have a book signing on Sat, December 21st from 11 am to noon at Prairie Lights books.

In 2012, Dr. Beasley celebrated his 85th birthday and cycled 5,683 miles.

In it Dr. Beasley talks about bicycling as a means of staying fit regardless of your age. He also describes his many bicycling tours of the US and UK, illustrating them with his own photographs and route maps.He was the subject of a recent write-up in the Iowa City Press-Citizen. The book is available for purchase from Prairie Lights, either in the store or online.
