“The Paris Olympics should be interesting, but you look at L.A. in 2028, we should absolutely sweep the podium the way the Swiss did in Tokyo.”-Brendan Quirk
In an hour-long interview with Dave Mable on the Bike Talk with Dave Podcast, he discusses his history as a cyclist and road to becoming USAC's CEO as well as the creation of the National Mountain Bike Training Center, including it's staffing and program goals. Quirk also discusses the health and future of other cycling disciplines including road racing, gravel racing and cyclocross.
"Gravel is new, there is an explosion of gravel events. Our relationships are with the event promotors in sanctioning a whole lot of gravel events. Our job is to support event promotors in putting on good, safe races."
