On Our Radar

Well hello warm March!  After riding in negative temps in February, 45-50 degrees in March is a welcome heat wave!

Be sure to check the Event Calendar frequently as new events are being posted several times a week. Same with the News. We don't post to social media for every new item on BIKEIOWA.

It's warm - now what?  We've been enjoying fat biking the frozen mountain bike trails for the last couple of months, but these freeze and thaw cycles can cause havoc to our dirt trails - Read more. We have been checking out the paved trails and most are already clear except when in the trees and that snow is melting fast too. It's a typical March and gravel conditions are all over the place too, but certainly rideable the more the sun and wind we get and don't forget a fender.  Check out  Iowa Gravel Project on Facebook, it is a great resource for the Iowa gravel scene and Bottom Bracket Biking is a new podcast focused on Iowa cycling with an emphasis on Midwest mountain biking.

2021 Pulse check -
How can we make better? Whether you are new to BIKEIOWA or an old pro, we'd love some feedback and have created a 12 question survey to gather feedback from YOU help US set our future direction for the next 5,10 and 20 years! All questions are optional. We just ask that you provide quality responses whether good, bad or ugly. For every 100 people who take the survey, we will randomly draw for some BIKEIOWA prizes. You must leave your name and email address to qualify for the drawing.  THANKS in advance!

New Sponsors and a chance to WIN prizes - Be sure to check out three new sponsors who have recently joined BIKEIOWA -  Body In Motion Therapeutic Massage, Riding on the Edge and Pikes Peak Bike Tours.  Body in Motion is offering a FREE massage, Pike Peak Bike Tours is offering a FREE trip for 2 and look for Demo Days soon from Riding on the Edge!
